Exhibition Sponsors' Liaison Officers

The exhibition is held at Kingston City Hall, Moorabbin on Friday 14th June 2019 to Sunday 16th June 2019. This is a unique and prestigious annual national Exhibition in Australia with many decades of history attracting entries from across Australia and New Zealand. 

Experience is not necessary as induction & instruction provided. The role provides the opportunity to engage in a broad range of interesting activities. The role can be one off/short/long term involvement. Volunteers have the opportunity to be part of an exceptional exhibition which encourages students, novices, intermediate and master wood turners from across Australia and New Zealand to aspire to create unique wood art. This exhibition is the premiere wood turning exhibition in Australia. The exhibition continues to grow each year attracting more wood turners each year and AWTEX 2017 exhibited over 400 pieces of this unique art form at the Banquet Rooms at Kingston City Hall, Moorabbin.. 

The role requires volunteers to:

  • Make contact with existing sponsors to acquire donations through phone calls and emails
  • Collect prizes and vouchers for Exhibition winners from existing sponsors
  • Network with existing sponsors during the Exhibition
  • Source new sponsors where possible

Volunteers can work from home making phone calls and sending emails. Collecting prizes physically can be restricted to sponsors located in Kingston or if the volunteer chooses to expand to Dandenong and other areas. All duties are flexible.

Moorabbin Railway Station is on the Frankston Line and is only 100 metres from Kingston City Hall.

Buses
The 823 & 825 Bus routes stop directly outside Moorabbin Railway Station.
The 811 and 812 routes stop along South Road, just before Nepean Highway, next to Kingston Arts Centre.
