Aspendale Beach Patrol

Environment and sustainability
3195 Aspendale Beach Patrol care for the health of our beaches. We meet to clean Aspendale beach once a month and educate people on the dangers of litter on the bays wildlife.

Beach Patrol was formed to help clean beaches of Melbourne to make them safer and more enjoyable for everyone.  As Melbournians we are SO LUCKY to have such an array of beautiful inner city beaches and helping to look after them in the Beach Patrol way will help secure their bright future and is actually rewarding!

It is the philosophy of the beach patrol groups to work with their local Councils to try to achieve the cleanest, safest beaches possible.  By collecting plastics, containers and many more items, counting them and uploading data we are also helping our bay and river systems, overall water quality and marine life.

Aspendale Beach Patrol meets once a month, usually the second Sunday of the month at 9:00am.  The meeting point varies depending on the state of the beach, this is advised via our Facebook site and newsletter.  We ask volunteers to sign up, either on Facebook page or email.
