Join a sustainable local food economy group by growing your own food & sharing excess with your community.
I started this local group as one did not exist and I believe in connecting our local community with each other through our local resources such as growing plants, vegetables, herbs & our environment. Become self sufficient, healthier & more sustainable and reduce home wastes by sharing your produce in abundance. We meet each month in a home garden to share vegies, seeds, cuttings, plants, home made products, gardening tips and stories.
This group is for anyone in the bayside areas who is growing their own food, herbs or fruit trees & has at times an excess which they do not want to be wasted or have time to preserve. And would love to swap for something in season, fresh & grown without chemicals.
We meet to share tips on how we grow (organically, biodynamically or using permaculture techniques), what we grow, share tips on how to fertilise, control pests and diseases naturally. And share a cuppa.
All are WELCOME even if you have nothing to share at the time.
You can join us at our face book group https://web.facebook.com/groups/1692865947666608/.Or ring Joanne on 0417590011
