Environment and sustainability
The Friends of Kingston Heath Reserve are a community volunteer group who work with the Kingston Parks team to preserve, maintain and enhance the remnant and Botanical areas of Kingston Heath Reserve in Cheltenham.
The Friends of Kingston Heath Reserve is a community group comprised of local residents and people from other local Councils who are interested in preserving indigenous and native vegetation at Kingston Heath Reserve in Cheltenham. Our group has regular working bees and meetings throughout the year. During working bees we work with the Kingston Parks team doing propagating, weeding and planting of native vegetation. Twice a year we conduct a frog survey for Melbourne Water at the lake in the Reserve where we record frog and froglet calls to be identified by Melbourne Water's research team.
We welcome new members. Our working bees are on Sundays from 10am - 12noon and we meet at the car park at the end of Farm Road, at the northern side of the Reserve.
