The Give a Care Foundation aims to combat social isolation for people living with disability. We offer free activities and events that provide opportunities for people of all-abilities to connect, socialise, engage with the community, and most importantly have fun!
Jeff Shaw lives with an ABI as the result of suffering a stroke at age 38.
Following his own challenges, Jeff founded disability services provider Give a Care, and later its charity arm The Give a Care Foundation with the intention of combatting the social isolation Jeff observed many people with disability facing.
The Foundation strives to bring Jeff's vision to life by providing opportunities for people living with disability to engage with the community and have fun!
We offer a range of events and programs both in-person and online, open to people of all-abilities.
Plans for 2021 include monthly events, social groups, a community garden, and continuation of our online program Connecting Couches.
