We provide an environment that is safe, inviting and stimulating for all children. Staff offer a variety of teaching strategies to extend each child’s self-esteem and confidence to allow them to develop to their fullest potential whilst in our care.

We are committed to strengthening each child’s ability to develop and share their own ideas and opinions and children are encouraged to make independent choices.

Involving families

We firmly believe that each child’s kinder experience, and overall development, is enhanced by families and educators working together. We welcome families and warmly invite them to take part in our kinder program whenever possible.

Our program

Our program is play based. Activities are initiated by the children’s emerging interests, and what connects them to the community and world around them. We offer music, art, literacy, language and maths based activities, presented in a fun and interesting setting. Staff pay attention to each child’s individual needs and learning abilities and provide a program that caters for this. We encourage children to have respect for others by engaging them in experiences that promote working as part of a team and through sharing and taking turns.

Embracing difference

Children attending our kindergarten will be part of an inclusive environment that offers experiences from a variety of cultures and customs.

Outside play

Outdoor play is a key component of the educational program. It provides challenges and opportunities which help children develop problem solving skills, practise and refine gross motor skills, extend their imagination and social abilities, and develop an understanding and respect for the natural environment and the interdependence between people, plants, animals and the land.

Self help skills

A major aim of our pre-school program is helping children to become independent. We encourage children to put on their own smocks, shoes and socks etc.  We encourage them to clean up after themselves at activities and fruit time.  We also encourage independence at toileting routines.  Families can help children develop these skills at home as well.
