Within AccessCare the Delivered Meals and Volunteer Transport programs provide essential services to eligible residents of the City of Kingston. A dedicated team of volunteers provide valuable support within these programs.
AccessCare provides ongoing support to eligible residents of Kingston. These services aim to assist clients to remain living independently in their own home and remain connected to their community.
Volunteering within AccessCare provides the opportunity to contribute positively to the community and form connections with staff and volunteers within the programs. Volunteers usually assist for around 2-3 hours per week either delivering meals to residents in their own home and supporting residents attend essential medical appointments. In addition we now have volunteer opportunities with the Community Bus program, supporting clients attend recreational programs alongside a bus driver and support worker and are looking to further expand our services in 2019.
