Raising funds to provide services and programs to support people experiencing homelessness and disadvantage.
Sacred Heart Mission has a long history of effectively assisting the most disadvantaged members of our community to rebuild their lives. Since opening our doors in 1982, the Mission has evolved into an innovative organisation, sustained by a deep pool of generosity and support from the community.
We recognise everybody is unique. No matter where they are in their journey, we are here to support them. With someone in their corner, people who have faced extraordinary disadvantage and repeated episodes of trauma, can find the courage to face the challenges in their life. We are in this for the long haul - we are committed to making a sustainable difference in people’s lives.
Our op shops rely heavily on the generosity of their local communities in three ways:
1. to shop
2. to donate good quality items including clothing and accessories, bric a brac, homewares, furniture, books, music-related items such as vinyl, and
3. to volunteer
We welcome quality donations during opening hours and are delighted to welcome volunteers - if you're able to spare a morning or afternoon each week, please ask at the counter or check our website (sacredheartmission.org/volunteer).
