Health & wellbeingOlder PeopleVolunteer organisation
Ti-Tree Day Club was started 11 years ago under the Department of Veterans' Affairs as a social club for ex-service people and other community members who are eligible to join under certain criteria, for friendship and a variety of activities.
Day Clubs provide company & friendship for older people who may be isolated and alone, and so a meal together is regarded as important by DVA. We conduct many activities including quizzes, active games, board games, gentle exercises, singalongs, & have speakers & entertainers & take bus trips.
We are a friendly group and would love to welcome new members to participate in our happy Thursday meetings.
There are certain Membership Criteria that must be adhered to by all members, unless the member will be accompanied by a responsible carer.
- Be able to toilet, feed/eat & take medication independently.
- Not be disruptive to the Day Club program or require supervision from volunteers.
- Do not require lifting.
- Walk independently or with the help of a cane or walker.
