Long term

The Library will emerge next year as a Writers’ Centre, a pivotal place for local readers, writers and literary works. If you identify with words such as:

“story, book, author, writer, poet, script or play”, and if you would like to be a part of our unique and exciting journey, we welcome you along with your ideas, your energy and your love of literature.

Our rebirth will require enthusiastic people who are willing to take on a variety of roles, including:

  • Regular volunteer to manage the desk for half a day per week

  • Convener of a writing workshop, or series of workshops

  • Host of a television/streaming discussion group

  • Convener of a theatre studies group

  • Events manager of regular events

  • Internet and social media expert

  • Convener of a song writing/performing group

  • A hands-on helper around the place

We look forward to hearing from you!
