Inclusion Melbourne - Leisure Buddy

Page Image - default
Long term

Inclusion Melbourne is Victoria’s oldest day service for adults with an intellectual disability. We believe that people with a disability should be able to live in an inclusive community, supported by people who genuinely care for them, and have the same opportunities to participate in community life.

Make a friend and make a difference!

Leisure Buddies are matched based on where they live and their shared interests. Buddies usually meet at weekends or after work to do things they both enjoy such as going for a coffee, watching a movie or going to the football.

Spending time and forming a bond with a person may also give a carer an opportunity for a break.

Interested in becoming a Leisure Buddy?

Volunteer leisure buddies need to be aged 18+, available for 2 hours or more per fortnight and be able to commit to a minimum of 12 months.

No special skills or qualifications are needed to become a leisure buddy. All you need is the enthusiasm to assist people and a willingness to have fun.
