Membership volunteer roles Friends of braeside park

The Friends of Braeside park turned 30 years in 2019, and since then have been impacted by the current corona virus crisis in Victoria  We are however, always looking for new members for all our activities when we resume activities in 2021. Volunteer activities might include the following:

  • These include community projects (the A team), working in the nursery, propagation, water quality testing, night walk and day walk guides, bird observations and  Clean Up Australia Day activities.
  • Tree planting taking part in mystery walks breakfast with the birds, and park walks. 

Other specialist options include :

  • Working on our Friends History project to record the 30 plus years of the friends history and upskill in the writing.
  • Archiving area in conjunction with the Friends  Braeside Park was established in 1989, and has a history  as Melbourne's sewage farm from 1940 to 1980 and Phar Lap was trained there in 1930.

It is an opportunity to expand your environmental involvement in all these areas. You are also welocme to  join the committee and sub committees, and helping to maintain and preserve Braeside Park for the future.
