Policy Writer

Short term

BayCISS is a not-for-profit organisation based with the Bayside and Kingston areas providing support, advocacy, referral and information including casework and family counselling, to community members.  Our Castlefield Community Centre operates in Hampton providing occasional child care and community programs specialising in participation and enjoyment.

The Policy Writer is responsible for the drafting, development, proof reading, editing and coordination of all organisational policies for both sites. The role will also include the compilation and updating of the organisation's Policy and Procedure Manual whilst working alongside the Manager and the Castlefield Policy volunteer.

This role will be for approximately three to six months, working one day per week.  At this time, the volunteer will be encouraged and supported to work from home with the option to be incorporated into the organisation once restrictions are lifted, with the commitment to our social distancing and infection controls.

Ideally we are looking for a semi-retired or retired professional with policy writing experience; the ability to work autonomously and demonstrated experience with Microsoft software.  It is expected that the volunteer will follow organisational style guide and expectations for the development and completion of a professional Policy & Procedure Manual.
