Voluntary Pantry Facilitator

Long term

Chelsea CareWorks has operated a number of free programs since its inception 10 years ago. One of these is the provision of a free Food Pantry - called 'Your Pantry' which operates every Wednesday from 7am to 12 noon. We have volunteers who welcome and serve those who are in need, however we need someone who can provide facilitation of the program. This would include sourcing non perishable food items and toiletries; networking and promoting of the program; administration skills.

The person must hold a current Working with Children's Permit and a recent National Police Check as well as providing one written reference and 2 referees for phone interview.

The person should be compassionate and non-judgmental to work in our small team.

The role is based at Chelsea Community Church of Christ 3-5 Blantyre Avenue Chelsea which is close to the Chelsea Railway station and local buses. It is not necessary for the person to be present on the Wednesday as the above tasks can be conducted either of a Monday or Friday morning.

The Pantry supports homeless and those who are 'doing it tough' in today's environment.
