Ideal for a newly qualified childcare worker who is looking for experience or retired child care worker wanting a few hours voluntary work each week. We are needing volunteers to support the two permanent cares with our 3 to 4 year old program on a Wednesday afternoon from 1 pm to 4 pm and/or on a Friday morning from 9 am to 1 pm. Activities include play based learning, reading to children, helping prepare and sit with children during snack time, supervising and interacting with children during activities such as painting, puzzles, ball games, floor games, craft and art activities, helping children get hats on for outdoor play and interacting with children during play outside on climbing equipment, in sandpit and outdoor kitchen.
Great way for a newly qualified student to gain experience or for a retired child care worker to stay connected with their community.
The voluntary role is only required during school term times and will be working directly with the two qualified permanent child care staff with a group of up to thirteen children in each group. The volunteer will have formal child care training and require Working With Children Check and Police Check.
The role will be based at Castlefield Community Centre, 505 Bluff Road, Hampton, 3188, Victoria
