Volunteer English Tutors for newly arrived refugees and migrants

Long term

The Volunteer Tutor Scheme provides 1 hour per week English tutoring for newly arrived refugees and migrants. Many of our students can't get to classes due to issues such as illness or caring responsibilities. Others need extra support as they may be struggling in classes.

We provide all tutors with free training and on going professional development, no qualifications are required. You need to have reasonably fluent English and be prepared to undergo a Working With Children and Police Check.

We have many students waiting in the area, particularly in the Dandenong and outer regions, and 1 hour per week can dramatically change someone's life.

If you can help, please go to www.melbourneamep.com.au/volunteer for more information and to apply. You can also call on 9269 1514.

We look forward to hearing from you!
